Trout Summer is about 13 year old Shana and 12 year old brother Cody. Their father leaves them, saying that he wants to continue his art studies, but he still loves them. Shana's mom moves the fishing family away from their beloved river and gossiping town in Virginia to Maryland in a town house. While taking a summer vacation from their town house, Shana and Cody find a little cabin beside a river. They convince their mom to let them stay for the summer. The events that happen are very interesting and fun.

Cody's angry attitude and Shana's good-hearted personality are extremely believable. Conly does a good job of portraying everyone's attitudes.

Trout Summer is a great way to spend this summer!
