Rated PG-13 for some violence and sexual content/nudity

The Truth About Charlie is a quirky movie about Reggie (a well cast Newton), who's husband Charlie is murdered at the very beginning of the film. Then a missing $6 million dollars, 3 people after it, and Joshua Peters (Whalburg) enter the story.
The way the film is shot can be somewhat distracting, but overall intersting. Paris is a wonderful background to the intriguing story. Newton is very convincing as a woman who has been thrown into this mess, doesn't understand it, but wants to help and then get on with her life. Her chemistry with Whalburg makes their attraction believeable.
Some of the movie can be silly/stupid, but it made me laugh, just because it was so weird. But there were also moments of real, clever humor.
I recommend The Truth About Charlie as a fun, harmless, escape movie.
