AWARE OF
CONSIDERING THAT
MINDFUL OF
RECOGNIZING
REAFFIRMING
TAKING INTO ACCOUNT
AGREE as follows
AGREE UPON the following articles
HEREBY AGREE as hereinafter provided
HAVE AGREED as follows
Articles
Undertaking Commitments
to undertake to do
to undertake not to do
to contribute to peace and security
to encourage cooperation between nations
to maintain and diffuse knowledge
to promote the acceptance and observance of the policy
to abide by the provisions of the present Convention
not to assume any international obligations which would conflict with
this treaty
not to circumvent the provisions of the present Convention
not to use force or threat of force in international relations
not to intervene in the internal affairs of other states
not to manufacture or stockpile nuclear weapons
Final Provisions
1. Signature
The present Convention shall be open for signature by any other state until
entry into force
2. Ratification
This Convention
The present Convention shall be subject to ratification/be ratified by the States Signatories hereto in accordance with the respective constitutional procedures
The instruments of ratification be deposited with the Secretary General of the UN
The Secretary-General of the UN shall be designate as the depositary of the present Convention
3. Accession
All States may become Parties to the Convention by Signature not subject to ratification, acceptance or approval or Signature subject to ratification, acceptance or approval, followed by ratification, acceptance or approval or Accession
Ratification, acceptance, approval or accession shall be effected by the deposit of the appropriate instrument with the Depositary
The present Convention
The instruments of accession shall B open 4 accession by any State belonging to categories A and B
mentioned in the Article 34
the States reffered to in Article VI
All States Members of the UN shall be deposited with the Secretary-General of the UN
be deposited in the archives of the UN
shall enter into force
on the day of exchange of instruments of ratification
on the day of deposit of each instrument of accession
on the thirtieth day after the date of signature or of deposit of such instrument with the Depositary
on the 30th day following the date of deposit of the twenty-second instrument of ratification or accession with the Secretary-General of the UN
sixty days after the date on which the States have become Parties to the Convention
three months after the date of deposit with the Secretary-General of the UN of the thirty-fifth instrument of ratification or instrument of accession
4. Duration and Termination
The present Convention shall remain in force through December 31, 1985, unless replaced earlier by another agreement for so long as each party remains a member of the UN until a revised general convention has been approved by the General Assembly shall be terminated as from the date when the denenciation becomes effective
5. Denunciation
Any state party may denounce at any time by written notification addressed to the Secretary-General of the UN (to the Director_General of the Organization)
Such Denunciation shall take effect three months after the date of receipt of the notification by the Secretary-General until one year after the date on which it is registred
