2. Since the number of Representatives in
the House has been limited to 435
and the number of Representatives
is now decided proportionately, it has been occasionally necessary for states to lose Representatives to states
that are growing in population. As a matter of fact, when the
census is calculated, Wisconsin
will almost certainly lose a Representative to California. Some Wisconsinites are quite upset at the
idea of losing
representation, while people of growing states insist that their
representation grow with them. What
are your
thoughts on this phenomena? Can you
come up with a
plan to keep everyone in this scenario happy?
