In November, the people vote
by popular
election for the “slate electors” that have indicated they will vote for a
particular candidate.
“Slates of Electors” are
created by states
(commonly by political parties within the states)
In December, The elected
electors of each
state meet in their state capitals and cast two votes, one for President and one for Vice-President. Though electors
have agreed to
vote a particular way, they may vote for whatever candidate they like.
