The Right to Vote
In a republic, voting is crucial.  Yet, in the course of the
history of the United States of America, many were
denied this right either by law or by the actions of other
Americans.  In being excluded from the voting process,
groups were being blatantly being denied the
representation that is the cornerstone of democracy.
