Accept and Live with Globalisation
There are powerful forces at work in the world today moving us closer to globalisation. You can't stop it. In the end it might be good.

Global Paradox
Michael Naisbitt (who also wrote Megatrends) provides warning and advise for dealing with globalisation in his book Global Paradox. The paradox is that as the world shrinks and gets the same; local differences take on greater significance. So find out what makes you different.

Express Yourself and Take Part in Your Community
Look to your personal traditions for ways to express yourself. Beware of tendancy towards racism and republicanism, and avoid empty convenient mass marketed programs. Instead, enter into your community and make contributions. Consider these examples:

  • Find and attend your place of worship - example
  • Volunteer somewhere - example
  • Get involved in a lofty enterprise - example
Find something that is complimentary to your tradition.

  • Globalisation
