Japanese Baseball

Wow! Do the Japanese know how to have fun at baseball games here. They are a wild bunch. I had the best time.

When you get to the game you will notice they do not sell hot dogs but they do sell corn dogs. Anyone want a Coca-Cola? They have Japanese style foods, too.

We went to a Hiroshima Carp game. They were in the red and white. They won. When we went it was the blue and white team against the red and white team. When your team is at bat you can go crazy. When your team is not you have to be quiet. It is all very structured. Just like everything the Japanese do.

The fans bring these big flags and wave them all around including the American Flag. They have small bands playing some music. The funniest thing I have ever seen is at the end of the 7th inning. You get these balloons and blow them up and hold them till then. Then the whole stadium lets them go. Wow was that fun.

The players work out before the game and get messages. Now, I don't think I have ever seen that before, at least not on the field. The Cup o' Noodles truck on the field was a 1st also. Wow, the crowd after the game was bad for such a small stadium.

It was a great trip. Everyone had a great time. The little girl in front of us was so cute. I will do that again. Next time I will have to bring my family.

Some pictures may be blurry due to the fact I do not usually drink. I had two and half beers. I was not driving -- We took a bus. We were singing Karaoke the whole way up and a little on the way back. Thanks to Jackie and Lina we did not have to sing as much on the way back. I think we drove the bus driver crazy. LOL ;-)
