Kimberly Stanley is a high-achieving student.
Stanley, a senior, is a well-rounded student who tries her hardest to achieve academic excellence.
Stanley, who has a cummulative grade-point average of 3.73, remembers every year of high school in detail.
"I have stayed focused these four years because I know if I do well in school there will be a lot of doors open for me when I leave Smith," commented Stanley.
"In order to be successful in school, it is important that you do your homework every day and do it well."
Stanley is still undecided about future college plans. She has been accepted to UNC-Chapel Hill, where her sister attends. She's also been accepted at East Carolina and UNCC.
"I like all three schools, but I'll choose the university that best fits me," she said.
Stanley plans to major in psychology or aerospace science.
"I like being around people and I've always wanted to fly," she said.
Spring break. Two words that bring joy to all Guilford County students. Many students are going to the beach. Others are traveling out of state.
"I can't wait until spring break because I need the break," said Ambraya Edwards, a senior.
As you walk down the halls, you can hear many students complaining that Thursday is not getting here quick enough. They say that they are ready for fun in the sun.
Many students are also ready for spring break because they can relax and don't have to worry about doing any homework. Some students take advantage of spring break and work the whole time to save money for summer vacations.
"If I don't go to the beach, I'll probably use the time to work and for realaxation," commented senior Blair Edwards.
