Welcome! This is the home page of the 7th Battalion, Royal Irish Rifles, affiliated living history regiment of the Great War Association, First World War re-enacting. This site has full color diagrams and photos of British First World War equipment, weapons, and informational bits for those who have stopped by to learn, and for those who want to try the experience of First World War Re-enacting
I am your host, Jason Griffeth, a graduate of Historical Studies at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. I have spent years studying both military history and the world wars and have acquired extensive knowlege pertaining to both.
I have organized this web page to be a useful guide for the study of the British Army during the First World War and for the purpose of helping those who wish to learn more about re-enacting the First World War . The links are grouped by subject under two main headings, the history of the British Army in WW I, which houses all the historical and eduational information the site has to offer, and the 7th Royal Irish Rifles re-enactors page which houses information on the Unit, the Great War Association, event calendars, guides to putting a kit and uniform together, infomation about the members of the unit, and contact information for those who may be interested in joining our ranks.
