--- CHRISTIANITY

AND VISION

Christians are like solitaire players who win every time. The reason for this is that they do not turn the cards over to look at the face. Here are 52 cards. Maybe you can provide the Joker?

The Church states that it desires to know the truth. It must, therefore, be so with the condition that all truths discovered conform to their predetermined notions. Such an attitude makes the truth as easy to discover as a square wheel!

My desire is not to remove faith in the Church. I only desire that people should open their eyes and welcome the truth. What we need is people who are able to employ their minds in search of real truth. To state that the Church has interpreted everything correctly and is in possession of the only real truth may be tantamount to a crime against the entire population. Some of the outdated Christian thoughts may be the philosophies acting as rotten apples preventing a civilized society from appearing on earth.

Below are a few of the discrepancies that exist regarding the faith that prevents me from being a Christian.

No The Church States.  Other Sources Indicate.  Additionally
1 Their God made Heaven and Earth  A thousand years ago it was assumed that God had created the entirety from nothing, thus Bereshit B'ro was translated as Bereshit Bara.
Bereshit B'ro means God made everything in the same fashion as the other Near Eastern Gods did in their myths.
The Greeks, Babylonian Gnostics, and others indicate clearly what existed prior to the physical universe and how its Gods came about.
2 God made man out of the mud and his breath. A feat not accomplished by any other God. God then placed man in a Paradise where he was to live happily forever more until his fate changed by eating the fateful fruit.  Clay tablets from ancient Sumer indicate otherwise. Their Gods created man in the same fashion, and the Biblical rendition of the Paradise myth is an obvious rewriting of an ancient Sumerian tale. Here it was a God who ate the divine plants and a Goddess that punished him. One of the organs that failed the God was the rib. The goddess who cured it was "Eva" (The breath of the Gods was as powerful among many other Near Eastern cults, Sumerians, Canaanites, Etc.).  Ur, the home of Abraham, was one of these Sumerian cities. Comprehensive writings about the Sumerians, to which we owe so much when it comes to mythology, are found in places like "History Begins in Sumer" by S.N. Kramer.
3 It argues that this God made man perfect. Yet, man subsequently committed a gross "sin," forcing God to punish man. Man was not to have known the difference between good and evil.  To know the difference between good and evil was the manner by which the Egyptians told the difference between human and animal. Subsequently, man's sin was to rise above the animals and think. Perhaps the Gods desired someone in their own image, obedient like a dog who follows the master regardless of treatment.  To punish man in the fashion depicted in the bible would relegate God to the same level as a parent evicting a toddler from his house for eating crumbs from the table when told not to.
4 It is insisted that this was the God who created our Soul.  God was the creator of our Soul; who created God's Soul? Numerous places in the bible exist where God talks about his Soul. His soul aches, his soul shall be redeemed for a people like this, etc. (Lev 26:30 and Isaiah 1:14 are but a couple of examples.)  If it was the DNA code that the God(s) created, as ancient Egyptian and Sumerian records indicate, we would not owe the God(s). They would be indebted to us!
5 Several of the Christian Cults insist that the reason we made the transgression in the garden, having been created perfect, was because God created us with a free will.  This does not make much sense. What type of will would he have had in mind for us? Throughout the Bible the evidence indicates he desired nothing more than to crush the will that we had. For example: Psalms 51:17 The sacrifices of God [are] a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart. O God, thou wilt not despise. Ezekiel 20:26 And I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through [the fire] all that openeth the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I [am] the LORD.  This is more like a father who despises his creation. See also: Ezekiel 20:25 Wherefore I gave them also statutes [that were] not good, and judgments whereby they should not live;

6 It is stated God determined the age of man to be 120 years. Gen. 6:3  The newly discovered dead sea scrolls indicate that it was humanity that was not to survive more than 120 years. 4q Genesis Pesher, (4Q252) (4QpGen) In these documents God tells Noah when he is 480 years old that the age of man will be for 120 years when Noah 600 the flood comes.  The Church is quite willing to amend discreditable information. The revised standard version and the King James version have new readings in Old Testament versions after 1952.
7 They also state Noah saved humanity.  Ziusudra was his name among the Sumerians. The Babylonians that came after called him Ut-Napistjim in the famous "Epic of Gilgamesh." The tales are virtually identical; some slight differences are clarified by examination of the translations.  (The Israelites rewrote the Babylonian rendition Atrahasis and not the older Sumerian version. (En-Ki was the saving deity to the Sumerians.)
8 Nimrod was the first person who was great in the eyes of the Lord, Gen 10:9.  Nimrod in the lineage from the Atrahasis, which has the same amount of ancestors prior to the flood, calls him Gilgamesh.  The name Gilgamesh was employed as late in Judaism as the Dead Sea Scrolls. (1Qgilg)
9 Abraham got a unique pact with his God that ensured our survival after the death of Noah.  Pacts between man and his Gods were common between all Canaanites and Babylonians. Abraham was apparently the legendary Ashurlahi found in the 3500 year old documents at Ugarit. These people, like the Israelites, were Canaanites. While Noah lived long before Gilgamesh in legends, Abraham was born 58 years before Noah died in the bible.  Early Christians identified Heathens as those who thought the rainbow got its colors from the sun shining through raindrops. They knew God gave it the colors to remind them of this eternal pact.
10 It is stated that the Bible is correct because it is "God's own words."  When Abraham came to Egypt, the Egyptian writings spanned more Dynasties than there were ancestors prior to Abraham in the Bible. Are we supposed to believe a band of nomads whose stories do not add up? They accomplished nothing, yet the Egyptians about the time of Biblical Noah already had built the famous pyramids. Why was not the flood in Egypt?  Logical thinking seems to be impossible if one is to believe in the Biblical literature. To not check the facts and follow a dictatorial teaching denies the myth about intelligent Man. Are we all lemmings on the road to the chasm?
11 Joseph and the Pharaoh.  That others were once powerful in Egypt is recorded with resounding clarity. The Greeks called them "Hyksos." That the name of any leader was Joseph is however doubtful, but then names changed. Ezekiel 16:3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto Jerusalem; thy birth and thy nativity [is] of the land of Canaan; thy father [was] an Amorite, and thy mother an Hittite.  The Israelites are said to have been Canaanites. That Canaanites were a type of people is unlikely. Canaanites were apparently "Colonists" under Egyptian rule settling the new Egyptian territories from the Nile to the Euphrates after about 500 years prior to Solomon.
12 Moses  Ahmoses would have been the name written in Egyptian. There was indeed a famous Pharaoh by the name Ahmoses. He was the person able to chase the Hyksos back out of Egypt, and under his successor, Egypt came to rule all the land between the Nile and the Euphrates. It was stated that during the fights in Egypt the Nile was so full of blood they could not drink the water.  The Bible states Moses lived 480 years before Solomon. The Church proposes 250 years because it is a well-known historical fact the Egyptians ruled the entire region until about 1250 BC. About 1250, a dozen tribes of natives evicted the Egyptians from Palestine again.
13 The Israelite God was identified as "I AM THAT I AM"  This is the name employed in the Bible. Exodus 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM; and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. Why an Israelite God desired to be known by the epithet of the Egyptian sun God Amon-Re is not addressed.  That which here is written is what is written, and if you are who you are you will understand.
14 No one can see the face of God and live.  Exodus 33:20-23 is one of the places where God tells Moses no one can see his face and live. It is suggested he stands between some rocks and watches as he passes by.  Amon-Re was the Sun. If you stand in a less lighted area and watch the sun go down you will not go blind.
15 Who was the God that sought to kill Moses at the inn? (And fought against Jacob in Genesis)  Exodus 4:24 And it came to pass by the way in the inn, that the LORD met him, and sought to kill him. (Irrational) Gen 22:25,32

(See also 1 Sam 7:10, Gen 11:9)

Yet, if it was the Hyksos Lord that met Ahmoses and sought to kill him, it fits. (Yet, a deity who physically battles man is asinine.)
16 Jericho fell to the sound of trumpet blasts.  Amihai Mazar states in his book about archeological research in the "Holy Land" that when Jericho fell, it only fits with the early date given in the Bible. Also, he adds there were no signs of Israelites, just an awfully lot of Egyptian war equipment.  This would only be expected. The places where the biblical story falls apart at the seams are numerous.
17 God helped the Israelites conquer one city after the other when they entered the promised land.  The Biblical tales are extremely fragile and not supported by fact. The City Ai, for example, was supposedly laid in ruin by the Israelites. The fact is, it was a ruin since 3000 BC or earlier. (Joshua 7,8)  When the Israelites wrote their tales they must have employed many a legend. Where they found a ruin they invented a war for it.
18 The Israelites came to the promised land about 1250 BC and proceeded to take the land.  History indicates this is nothing but a gargantuan rewrite of history, plagiarized and reworded. Around 1250 BC, there was a war. About 12 tribes of natives were able to evict the Egyptians from Israel.  To insist on a tale because one desires it to be true is bad. To borrow the tale of another to validate oneself in this fashion is a crime.
19 The Israelite God was known as YHWH, also called Yao in the Dead Sea Scrolls, Yave and Jehovah.  This God really is a special God as indicated by the finds at Ras-Shamras/Ugarit where native records from 1400 BC were found. Among the documents is one where the God El tells one of his seventy sons after he divided the earth's population among them, "Your name shall no longer be Yawwu, Yammu shall be your name."  Yammu is very well known among the ancient Gods. He was an evil dragon who recruited souls among the sons of man for his netherworld.
20 God created man in his image.  Yammu was a dragon. 2 Chronicles 7:2 And the priests could not enter into the house of the LORD, because the glory of the LORD had filled the LORD'S house. Exodus 19:18, 32:10, 33:9, Lev 10:6, Numb 11:1, 12:10, 14:14, 16:35, Deut 4:24, 5:4, Psalm 18:8, 97:3………  All the places in the Bible that would identify the God of the Israelites as a Dragon are too numerous for me to mention. Yammu was traditionally jealous of Baal, as he could not get a female. (Too ugly?)
21 The God of the Israelites fought to get his "chosen" to understand.  The Biblical fights depict the battles between Yammu, the son of El, and Baal, the outsider and God of fertility. Yammu was the God who was over Israel when Baal was in the underworld in much the same fashion as Tammus/Dumuzi. Most of Israel worshipped Baal during the rainy season. The exception was southern Israel.  The South of Israel was where the Canaanite tribe Judah, from whom the Jews got their name, lived. (El had given this tribe to his son Yammu, and it was no wonder they found him hard to follow.
22 The Bible shows a God who loved humanity.

(Goodness is not found anywhere. For evil see Isaiah 30:32, 45:7, Psalms 3:7, 52:5, Exodus 20:5, 32:27, Num 31:17-18, Deut 18:8, 20:16, and innumerable other places.)

This is a statement which in no way could be made by anyone who had read the Old Testament. There is not one single decent act and multitudes of crimes. Children who are teasing one of his prophets are devoured by a bear God brought out of the woods. Ezekiel 20:25,26 Wherefore I gave them also statutes [that were] not good, and judgments whereby they should not live; And I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through [the fire] all that openeth the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I [am] the LORD.  Researchers have difficulties finding a God in the area that fits the description of Molech, the one that demanded child sacrifices, like Jephtah having to sacrifice his daughter in Judges 11:30-35. The evil Yammu has been suggested by some, and I agree. This would be another reason he was hard to follow. To sacrifice one's children would be repulsive.
23 Isaiah in the Bible concurs with Isaiah from the Dead Sea Scrolls.  It is stated officially that the two are identical except for a few grammatical variances. The Norwegian schools even teach innocent children that this as a fact, indicating the depths to which the Church will sink to maintain its power. Isaiah is a rewritten message of the kind found at Ugarit.  The Church will soon have had these scroll for 50 years and as yet they are not published. The reason for the delay is that the supposed messianic prophecies in Isaiah are absent. (These are additions by Christians.)
24 The Dead Sea scrolls were written by a sect totally different than the official Judaism of the time.  The Church is continually making excuses for this find, a little more than a stone's throw from Jerusalem. Easton's 1897 dictionary defines Essenes as: "Jewish mystical sect somewhat resembling the Pharisees."  Today's evidence points in the direction that the caves at Qumran were a cloister where, among other things, old books were copied.

The Bible is in accordance with today's modern science.

(The bible is reliable)

This is really one that gets thinking people to shake their heads. What about the entire book that had to be removed from the biblical literature a few centuries ago? What about the Biblical rewrites?

An example of the reliable scriptures depicting God's words is the book of Esther. It is a tale depicting the superiority of the Babylonian Gods Ishtar (Esther) and Marduk (Mordakai) over the Persian deities.

1 Enoch was removed from the Bible because it was discovered there were no pillars holding the earth up, along with numerous other imaginary tales.

Revelations is also still a part of the Christian Bible even though the original Babylonian documents are found.

26 Biblical prophecy tells us what man has in store. Today's events are directly predicted in material such as Daniel.  Daniel was written less than 200 years before Christ. It contains no prophecies and is a rewrite of ancient legends to console an Israelite King. The Statue from Daniel was Persian in origin, and the last kingdom would have been the Greek.  Also, the King mentioned in Daniel was not Nebuchadnessar but Nabonidus. He was converted to the worship of the Moon God Nanna/Sin.

b

That which is written in the Bible is God's word and cannot be discussed as he is incapable of lying.

Israel is mentioned in ancient literature

If the bible was the word of God would it only prove that senility runs amok among deities. A few of the innumerable examples are the Palestinians living at the time of Abraham. These did not come to Israel before about 1000 BC. The Egyptian Pharaohs that should have existed at the time of Abraham are absent. The Pharaoh Sebta (697-690 BC) is mentioned in Genesis as a city and his successor is mentioned in 2 Kings and also incorrectly. Hyksos kings from shortly after the time of Abraham are mentioned as Canaanite Giants. There are innumerable other instances.

Israel has been said to have been mentioned by the Egyptian Pharaoh Merneptah.

The whole thing is like taking the tale of Snow White and the Dwarves at face value without examining the reliability of the tale. It is like attempting to find the historical King married to the wicked witch and search for the coffin in which snow white slept. In reality it is a rewrite of ancient literature such as Atrahasis, the Persian Zoroastrianism, and others.

A closer examination indicates this is wishful translation.

The new testament is a compilation of myths. There are no reliable records of what Jesus said. The savior and tales about him were rewritten and follow the philosophical ideas of many of the so called "fathers of the church."
28 Jesus was born in Bethlehem.  The later Church decided Jesus would have been born there because it was the alleged home of King David.  Because the wars with the Romans about 70 AD destroyed all material, no one knows.
29 It is suggested Jesus was born in a manger.  That children were born in stables in those days is extremely unlikely. All Israelite cities at the time had a "Queens House" where illegitimate children were born. A more likely story is that he was born by the Dead Sea, where the "Queens House" was called the manger because it was a rebuilt barn. In this "Barn" many a Jesus would have been born. At the time when Jesus was born, Jesus was a most common name.  Remains that are nearly 2000 years old were found in an Israelite burial site where Mary, Joseph, Jesus, and the other Mary were buried. "Experts" state that this could not have been the same family, as Jesus took his bones to heaven with him.
30 Jesus was from the line of King David.  Jesus and his lineage are given in two places in the Bible. Matt 6:6-8 and Luke 3:23-32. The two lists are entirely different. The church states that this is because the one line was from his father and the other from his mother. Both are equally as ludicrous if Jesus was God's son. (God is not on either list.)  Matt has 28 generations and Luke 43, back to King David. It is not that one is correct and the other one incorrect.
31 Jesus was God's son.  There are not any documents that are close to authentic in which Jesus claims to be God's son. Luke 18:31 states that all which is written regarding the Son of Man will be fulfilled through him. 1 Enoch was employed in the early church. It shows a distinct difference and the two could not be interchanged.  The reason for the flood in early Biblical literature came from 1 Enoch, namely the sins committed by the sons of God towards the sons of man. (Gen, 6:1-4)
32

b

Jesus was the son of God because he was the son of light.

The tale of Jesus is unique.

John 12:35-36 is one of the places where Jesus refers to himself as the light and his followers as the children of light. Luke 16:8 is where the Lord praises the dishonest steward and tells him the world's children are better than the children of light.

Wishful thinking again; the lack of any unique features about Jesus is what also makes it suspect!

The Church has a ridiculous way of amending data. What they don't understand is beyond them, since they insist that no one has divine mentality.

Among others are Hercules, Dionysus, Asclepios, Alexander, and many, many more.

33 It is stated 1 Enoch never was a part of the Bible.  The Church wrote 2 Enoch for clarification. How could 2 Enoch be written if there was no 1 Enoch?

It is speculated that 2 Enoch was written around 100 AD, but admittedly it may have been written around 1000 AD.

The Church changes the Bible and their mind according to social pressure and increasing public awareness. (A leaf in a storm?)
34

b

God's sons from the Old Testament were not the same as from the New.

Jesus is God.

This is about the same as to stating that the God in the Old Testament and in the New are different Gods, and this is more than possible.

Jesus, in fact, is a "Scapegoat" created by the deity to atone for Man.

Isaiah 14:12-16, God identifies Satan with the morning star. Rev 22:16, Jesus is the son of same.

Other scapegoats can be found in Ex 16:10, yet only a fool would worship the "Scapegoat."

35 The bread and wine at the altar are the symbols of the last supper. Symbols of Jesus and his pact with humanity.  Very doubtful indeed. More reasonable it would be to link this to the legends from Enoch. The sin committed by the sons of God was eating the flesh and drinking the blood of the children of men. This substitute would prevent this from reoccurring.  1 Enoch indicates beyond a doubt that the eating of the Sons of man by the Sons of God was the reason for the flood. These were the same as we have mentioned briefly in Gen 6:1-4.
36

b

It is stated the Bible is correct because it is the word of God.

All contradictions are imaginary.

More than half the material of the New Testament is known to have been added. Besides the false statements are those things inserted in the various chapters for validation. A few of the indisputably false books are: I&II Thessalonians, Ephesians, Colossians, I&II Timothy, Titus, Philemon, and Paul's letter to the Hebrews. Jesus spoke his last words in three different gospels, and there are three different last words.  It is also known that this material was added to fight the popular Gnostic movements of the time. Much material has been edited for credibility.

Matt 27:46, Mark 15:34, John 19:30

37 The letter to the Hebrews was how Paul interpreted the Church.  The letter to the Hebrews is one of the latest additions to the canon. It was known to have been false since about 150 AD. Chester Beatty papyrus is the name of another Church document, constructed by the early church to validate Hebrews.  What is irritating about this is that the Church employs it even though they know it is false. Hebrews, most likely, is how St. Polykarp saw the Church.
38 Moses  Ahmoses was, as mentioned, the name of an Egyptian Pharaoh. More evidence to the fact is contained among the early church documents where St. Clement of Alexandria states that the Exodus occurred during the reign of Ahmoses. He then goes on to state that when Moses told King Chenophren the name of the God, the King fell out of his bed.  If Moses had left during the reign of the Pharaoh Ahmoses he would not have told this to a Canaanite King, but to the Pharaoh Ahmoses. (To deny fact because it is not what one desires is called insanity.)
39 The tale of Jesus has to be true because it is biblically prophesied.  The Christians are greatly indebted to the Zoroastrians. They did not only get their angels from them but also a tale which states, "A male child shall be born from a virgin and this child shall grow up to be a prophet. After he dies he will be resurrected and this will be the end of death among mankind."  While the Bible does not contain a single prophesy which can be directly linked to Jesus that is not a later addition by the church, the same is not true for Zoroastrianism.
40 The virgin birth proves the divinity of Jesus.  Other known celebrities that were known to have been of virgin birth were Alexander the Great, Mithra, and many others. If it is proof, they are also divine!  More reliable than Jesus would be Alexander the Great of the Greeks. He was at least historical.
41

b

Jesus was the Messiah sent by God to free humanity.

He did remove demons from people as a good Zoroastrian.

Among other people supposedly sent by the same God was the moron called Samson who lost his head because of a skirt.

Did he know a better cure for epilepsy?

To lose one's head over a skirt may thus be divinely inspired??

Not only Demons, but also angels, are from the Persians.

42 Man is lost because of sin.  Sin comes from "Hamartia" which means to miss the target, in archery.  Christianity misses the target by miles.
43 Since God came to earth as a human body, this was all the proof one needs.  Gods who visited man in human form were a common occurrence among many a cult. It was a common myth among the Greeks and universally expected.  That Christianity adopts myths from other religions only proves its own inadequacy.
44 The cross is the symbol of Jesus.  Not so. The cross has always been the symbol of death. That the Christians change its meaning only means they have no respect.  The symbol on the top of my page shows the Egyptian Ankh that is the symbol of life.
45 God will ensure the resurrection of the faithful.  Galatians 3:3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? (5:15-25,6:8)  This statement from one of the supposedly authentic Paul letters indicates he is Gnostic!
46 The tree of life is waiting for everyone in paradise.  The tree of life is possibly the tree of knowledge that the God Enki had. The symbol could well be DNA related.  Many DNA symbols may be the fish, snakes, etc.
47 Biblical material has been found from prior to the Persian occupation of Israel.  This is not correct. Phrases such as "Your God is my God" that occurs in the bible could have come from any number of religions in the area.  The arrows found from the time of King David are not mentioned by the Church, yet why?
48 The Bible has survived for as long as it has, because it is the correct faith.  The Church still manipulates facts. Many religions have been around longer than Christianity. The reason they have been so successful was their total lack of human dignity and sense of justice. Nothing prevented them from murdering; their God sorted Souls.  Today's church is not much more than the continuation of the Roman empire. When Caesar ceased ruling, the Pope took over, more cruel than any Roman dictator.
49 The Church cannot be compared with the evil of Man.  Correct. When Hitler murdered people by the thousands, it was only bodies. As the ancient Wise man said: He who kills the body does man little harm. He who hurts the Soul causes irreparable harm.  Hitler desired to exterminate all Jews. This action was one that the Church was successful in against many a society.
50

b

God is the cause of all things that happen on Earth.

All we need to do to be saved is believe.

Quite possibly true. Was this the reason he let the Church burn thousands of live bodies in his name?

Why should anyone believe something so poorly documented, when all the evidence points to the fact that it is in response to the simple minds craving for an answer?

It would have been impossible for a just God to permit such atrocities.

If all things in the bible are true, Judas made the ultimate sacrifice.

51 People are not capable of understanding God.  This is not what the Bible states! It states we are able to understand as well as God. That the actions of God indicate an absence of intelligence does not alter the facts.  The excuse that God is so much more intelligent than we is for children. Who desires worship from his inferiors?
52 The Church is Honest!  Untrue. The Church is aware of these as well as innumerable other discrepancies. They have done nothing at all to correct their teaching and find the truth.  The surest sign of honesty is an admittance of wrongdoing. The creation of excuses is a mask intended to hide dishonesty.

How could it be possible to need excuses for a God?

The answer is in the Bible.

Ezekiel 20:25 Wherefore I gave them also statutes [that were] not good, and judgments whereby they should not live;

Ezekiel 20:26 And I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through [the fire] all that openeth the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I [am] the LORD.

Does this measure up against John, the children of light and son of man? Yes.

Luke 16:8 And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.

The only way it can all fit together is if the Israelites rewrote Canaanite legends after the Persian rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem. It is no mystery, just sad to see people following a faith blindly without looking to the left or right. Years from now the Christian era will be looked upon as the saddest, most occluded, time in human history.
