October 26, 1999Okay so it's been a while. Sue me.
So I interviewed for that para position. Should here about it his week, although I'm not sure I want it anymore. The interview was bizarre, to say the least. It was with a panel of 6. Each person gave me a question to answer, and that was it. The weird part about it was that it was quite obvious that none of them had seen my resume because they were astounded that I was an *actual teacher* last year.
In light of that interview, and the fact that I had already taken the day off from my temp job, I went to the central office for MPS and asked what was up with my application (submitted a month prior). They signed me up to sub on the spot, promised me daily work at least 4 out of 5 days each week, and $110/day. Sounded good! So I put my notice in and I'm on my way back to school.
I also submitted an application to be a social worker who places children in foster homes. I got a call *the next day* telling me when I could come down and take the mandatory county employee test and interview. Sounds promising!
