Lying in Styria - Southern Austria - the Waldensian school (14th century) was situated in a thirteenth century building which was restored many times and partially reconstructed after the Second World War. According to the Inquisitor of Passau, during the 13th and 14th centuries more than twenty quite numerous Waldensian groups lived in the valley of the Danube and there were many schools.
