Welcome to......
I've wanted to create a Goth page on the Web for quite a while, but once actually faced with the task, I wondered: What do I say? Should I follow in the footsteps of others who have gone before and attempt yet another definition of what makes one person a Goth and another not?
Vampire pages are so much easier to create. Maybe that's because vampires are easier to pin down - there are solid facts known about the myths, fiction, film, authors, Vlad the Impaler, etc. But my tours through the Goth web pages, and conversations with Goths; have all made one thing abundantly clear: there appear to be as many definitions of Goth as there are people willing to ponder the question.
As my friends and I delved deeper into the Gothic scene, we suddenly found ourselves running
The Gothic Society of Nova Scotia.
Definitely not something we ever planned, but there wasn't a Goth scene in Nova Scotia, and this seemed to be the only way to start it.
So I will leave the definitions to the other pages which have already covered this ground. Instead, I'm going to ramble on for the next while about my thoughts on the slippery state of definitions, the Gothic scene, vampires and the Millenium.
And I invite you to contribute your thoughts to my page.
