Appearances
Love me for the insides,
My hopes, my dreams, my fears,
And the feelings I've locked deep inside,
To save me from those tears.
Love me for what I have to say,
Not by how I look.
You must always read the inside,
Not just the cover of the book.
Love me for the way I act,
Not by what you see.
It's surprising how deceiving,
Appearances may be.
Oh, truth my dark and hateful
friend,
You come hard and fast ,
Upon my lonely heart.
Songs of lamentations ring,
Harshly in numb ears.
As warms tears emerge,
And flood blind eyes.
Life pursues, stagnates and whithers.
Oh, truth must always rear it's ugly head,
When life is soon to be rejoiced.
Reflection
I see you smile,
But it doesn't hide your tears,
they run down your face.
Together down the road of live,
We walk.
I want to live with you,
But it would be easier to die.
The answers are hidden,
And the problems seem endless.
But the sunshines,
And I forget.
I drift away,
So silently,
And slowly.
Noone notices.
Uneasy departure,
To awkward to say goodbye.
Every moment,
I am slowly exiting,
Their memory,
And soon I'll be,
Forgotten
