Apparel Industry Partnership
The Apparel Industry Partnership (AIP) was initiated by the White House in August
1996 to take steps to protect workers worldwide and to give the public the
information it needs to make informed purchasing decisions.
The Partnership is comprised of apparel and footwear companies, a prominent U.S.
university, human rights groups, labor, religious organizations and consumer
advocates.

in democratic societies, the opportunity to cast a vote is actually quite rare. Moreover, the recent political scandals only add to
our sense of hopelessness.
Small businesses have even more political clout than the average consumer. As a web based business, it is very easy to
champion the causes you believe in, raising awareness, and putting pressure on the people or institutions that make decisions. It
is not uncommon to see even the largest players on the Internet running ads or buttons for good causes. Why not put a button
