Explanation As noted, this table that identifies the capabilities and limitations of the Russian and Finish armor represented in this scenario. Note - Finland was using both German (AT Gun) and Russian armor. This table shows: Speeds (inches per turn) - On Road, Secondary Road, Off Road; Armor, in millimeters (only four of the nine possible hit areas shown here); Ranges (to 100") and Penetration (mm) of these unit's guns at ranges in inches. It was designed for playing 1/72 scale models. When playing 1/285th scale units, the speed is cut in half, all else remains the same. The back side of this table (not shown) has additional information on the kind of guns the unit carried (including machine guns), when and where the unit was available, close assault defense, overrun attack factor, turret turn, etc., plus additional attributes, when relevant. Although the rules book is thorough, covering such issues as line-of-site,
Order-of-Play, etc., resolving battles is fairly simple. It is conducted by rolling two
"percentile" dice and then consulting the table(s) for results. Using the
examples above - Russian BT-7 fires at Finish T26 at a range of 25 inches. Russian player
rolls a 42% (which is below the 68% required),
