French Specialty Rules

1. A platoon leader must be designated for each infantry and tank platoon. Guns and heavy infantry weapons act independently.

2. Tanks within a platoon must stay within one movement of the platoon leader. This because the French use flag signals for communication.

3. If the tank platoon leader is knocked out, the remaining tanks may not take offensive action or advance. Retreat and defensive fire are allowed. If another tank platoon leader come within one movement, the leaderless tanks may join the new platoon.

4. French tanks had one man turrets. This meant the commander was a bit overworked. At tank may not fire two consecutive turns unless the tank is motionless, and then it must be rolled for. To determine if the tank may fire consecutively, roll one ten sided die. When firing at the same non-moving target, a roll of 4 or more is needed. When firing at a different or moving target a roll of 8 or more is needed.
