| Situation:
January, 1945 - Your standard Wehrmacht units have been retreating
for several weeks across Romania and Hungary. Finally, you have
been ordered to dig in and hold a position. Your units have dug
along a tree line not far from Duisburg where there is a bridge
crossing the Danube. One report of a major Russian offensive arrived
during the night. Five minutes ago, an obviously desperate radio
message just arrived from Col. Coppel, your regimental CO. It stated,
"Hold your position for as long as possible. The bridge at
Duisburg must not fall into enemy hands. The bridge must be held
till the last bullet. We are trying to break through to you."
This can't be. The war is supposed to be far away.
