Swords represent physical activity, movement, struggle, effort, aggression, force, courage, striving to achieve a goal, the third stage of development.
Ace of Swords
Positive Aspects: Old problems are ending, making way for new ones; need to release negative attitudes; loss of family or friend; potential for an operation or loss; new struggles.
Reversed Aspects: Need to resolve current problems before tackling new one; fear of the future; boredom; stagnation; no new ideas; overwhelming problems.
Two of Swords
Positive Aspects: Refusal to face problems; inner guidance concerning obstacles; passive attitude regarding conflicts; hiding from the truth; intuition unclear.
Reversed Aspects: Situation may not be as hopeless as it seems; illusory thinking; not willing to trust inner resources; fear of new problems; physical focus rather than mental.

Positive Aspects: Moving in a new direction; making choices regarding obstacles and troubles; taking a trip over water; new attitudes regarding conflicts; resolving struggles with inner guidance.
Reversed Aspects: Stagnation; conflicts unresolved due to indecisiveness; running away rather than facing a problem; plans delayed; depression; fear of loss leads to immobility; allowing others to make one's decisions.
Seven of Swords
Positive Aspects: Choosing strife over harmony; taking "shortcuts" to achieve goals; creating problems in relationships; dishonesty; cheating; doing what one knows is wrong; short-lived success.
Reversed Aspects: Jealousy over another's success; unhappy circumstances of one's own making seem permanent; false victory over obstacles; being caught in a falsehood; stealing ideas or objects; disappointment in oneself; being cheated by another.

Ten of Swords
Positive Aspects: Negative cycle has reached culmination; feeling pinned down by obstacles; the past actions didn't work, find new methods; big changes in troubles and strife; go within to find new angles of attack on an obstacle.
Reversed Aspects: Stagnation causes misery; lack of victory surmounting obstacles; mental focus unclear; need for courage to rise again; no changes in one's troubles, but no new ones; the cycle is not yet complete.
