Monday Morning Wife-Saver

18 to 20 slices white bread, crusts removed.
8 slices ham
8 to 10 slices sharp cheddar cheese
6 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 cup minced onion
1/4 cup finely chopped green pepper
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
3 cups whole milk
Dash tobasco
1/4 pound butter
Special K flakes

1. Butter a 9" by 13" inch glass baking dish. Cover bottom with bread, then layer with cheese and ham and bread          again.
2. In a bowl, beat eggs, salt and pepper. Add mustard, Worcestershire, milk and tobasco.
3. Sprinkle onion and green pepper over top bread layer. Pour milk mixture over, cover and refrigerate overnight.
4. Just before baking, melt butter and pour over top. Cover with Special K flakes.
5.Bake, uncovered, 1 hr at 350 degrees.
6. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
7. Serve with cubed fresh fruit and hot cinnamon rolls or muffins
8. Serves six to eight

A great brunch or holiday meal.

Mary Jean's Ground Beef-Noodle Casserole

1 pkg thin noodles (16oz.)
1/2 PT. sour cream
1 large pkg. cream cheese
1 1/2 lb. ground round beef
2 minced onions
1 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. pepper
1 tiny can tomato sauce
1 pkg. grated cheddar cheese
(1) Cook noodles -Set aside.
(2) Brown beef, onions, tomato sauce, salt, pepper -Set aside.
(3) In bowl mix sour cream slowly to cream cheese -Set aside.
(4) Grease casserole dish - Put in layers of 1/3 noodles, cheese and beef until
      all is in casserole. Top with cheese.
(5) Bake at 350° for 25 minutes or until heated through.

Note: Can be prepared a day in advance and baked later.
