As is appropriate for one whose vocation is studying, learning, researching, and passing on knowledge to a new generation, my site will touch on a variety of learned topics. My calling is to spread, develop, and maintain bodies of knowledge: specifically, I hold degrees in humanities, business, philosophy, and foreign languages. The essence of education is the transmission of cognitive content; but education is merely the beginning, not the end, of the life of the mind.
I like Schumann, Bach, Brahms and Schubert. The composer named Johann Walter (1496 - 1570) deserves more recognition. Gershwin is my favorite American composer; Erland Freudenthaler is my favorite living composer.
