George W. Bush: Al-Qaida who? Doubleplus Good!!
Actually, it's hard to blame Dubya for all of this. He's simply doing what he's been doing all of his adult life. He's been put into a position of power, while those with the agendas are manipulating the strings. It's long been a wet dream of George Bush Sr. to bring the Middle East under America's sphere of influence, and by prostituting the tragedy of 9/11, it now might actually be a possibility. To make the leap between the terrorist attacks, the invasion of Afghanistan and the soon-to-be invaded Iraq needs quite an imagination to anyone with even a rudimentary understanding of the region. The hunt for Al-Qaida is long over and now the real mission is to 'stabilize' the Middle East, and more importantly, its oil reserves for the benefit of the Bush family and their oil buddies. This isn't news to anyone, but in true Orwellian doublethink fashion, we swallow the flag-waving hype that in some remote, unimaginable way that taking Iraq will bring us one step closer to winning that elusive war against terrorism. We are not the only one that knows that the Iraqi campaign is just another blood campaign for oil. Al-Qaida knows it as well, and their plans regarding destabilizing the United States foresaw Bush's plans for Iraq and are using it to maximum advantage. Al-Qaida is well aware that they cannot defeat the States on a military level. But economically, America is as exposed and naked as any other nation, and this is ultimately where they have coordinated their attack. Al-Qaida and the official government of Iraq have no ties. In fact, many accounts tell us that Bin Laden and Hussein have no love for each other. There is no credible evidence to connect Iraq with any current terrorist activity. The current mission in Afghanistan is costing the war machine (read: the American taxpayer) two billion dollars a month. The "regime change" in Iraq will cost a projected two hundred fifty billion dollars over the next five years. And that is if the States will stop there. It is well established that after Iraq, that America will go after Syria, Lebanon, and anyone else who threatens the oil regime that the oil concerns want to set up. The costs can only be guessed at, but remember when Ronald Reagan wildly increased military spending, while cutting taxes, as Dubya has planned to do? America wound up with a debt of roughly five trillion dollars, a debt that sent the Western world into a nasty recession in the early nineties, and a debt that every man, woman and child in the States spends $500 a year just to service. I tell this theory to my friends, and they think I'm crazy. America has plenty of money! Do they? Who knows? I certainly don't want to find out. America had plenty of money twenty years ago, and they plunged themselves into incalculable debt to build a war machine to fight a war that by all current accounts, had already been won. What will this war cost America and her allies, apart from the priceless lives of her sons and daughters? Is America prepared to go another 5 trillion dollars in debt fighting a war in the Middle East that most likely will not be won? And if it is won, what have we really gained? A firmer foothold of power for America's oil barons, automobile producers and weapons manufacturers, most likely, as well as an exponential increase in terrorist activity on American soil from millions of displaced Arabs and jobless Americans who have lost their livelihoods to this idiotic farce. America may win the Middle East, but will ultimately lose the war, until they realize that the war on terrorism cannot be won with bullets and deception. America is at war with terrorism. America has always been at war with terrorism. Doubleplus good.
