Welcome to the FCAT Summer Success web guide for the students of Baker County High School. BCHS is located in Glen St. Mary, Florida. This guide will outline the math portion of the summer review course.

Students will be awarded a half-credit in Intensive Math and Intensive Reading, if they complete the
FCAT Summer Success course requirements. The purpose of this program is to help eleventh and twelfth grade students pass the challenging FCAT assessment.

Last year, over ninety percent of the students that took part in the summer course showed improvement on the July FCAT assessment.

Classes will meet Monday through Thursday, 7:30 to 12:30, from June 2nd through July 3rd. Students will spend approximately half of their school day working in a computer lab while the remaining portion of the day will be spent in a traditional classroom setting.

Betty Taylor, an English teacher, and Tom Hill, a math teacher, will be the instructors for the FCAT Summer Success program. The curriculum for the program includes materials developed by the instructors, workbooks specifically designed for the FCAT benchmarks, and online computer coursework developed by the State of Florida.

Students are currently being registered for this course.
Enrollment is limited, so if you are a student or parent of a student at BCHS that has yet to pass any part of the FCAT, please consider enrolling in this intensive month-long course soon. You can begin the enrollment process by printing, completing, and submitting the application form.

For further information about enrollment, please contact Tom Hill or Betty Taylor at the Baker County High School. The school's primary number is 259-6286.
