The 143 family - students, educators, parents, and the community - is continually striving to meet the individual needs of our children. Together we will create a quality cooperative learning environment which gives each child the opportunity to learn, grow, and achieve the standard of excellence.
Tetard Middle School 143 is fortunate to have a professional, dedicated, and diverse staff. Indeed, students enjoy teachers with varied and colorful backgrounds, who bring to Tetard Middle School a wealth of knowledge and experiences.
Interestingly, M.S. 143 has a surprising number of staff members who attended M.S. 143 as students. Such a unique situation helps to create a fiercely loyal and dedicated staff. For example,Ms. Goldstein is a former student, as are Mr. Beth, Mr. Rijfkogel and Ms. Moses. And the list continues to grow every year!
On April 12, 1999, on the National Mall in front of the Smithsonian Institution, Tetard Middle School was added to the Smithsonian Institution's Permanent Collection of Education and Academia. Tetard Middle School and The City College of New York were awarded a Computerworld Smithsonian Award. Mr. Toback proudly accepted the gold medal on behalf of Tetard Middle School and The City College of New York. Tetard Middle School is proud of this distinction. Click here to go to the Smithsonian Institution's web site to see the case study.
Thanks to highwired.com, Tetard can now electronically publish our newspaper, The Tetardian, and provide every classroom with its own web site. Over the next few months, more and more classes will add their web site to our growing list. Watch here for your class!
