Properties and Uses

The A's:

• Agate: A variety of chalccedony. Tones and strengthens body/mind. Imparts a asense of strength and courage. Facilitates ability to discern truth and accept circumstances. Grounding, but energetic. Powerful healer. Works with chakras and attitudes according to color of stone.

  Banded:Relives stress/emotional pain.

  Dendritic:Milky-white with blue/black spots; protection in travel.

  Indian:Eye formation in center of stone. Used for bodily protection or survival.

  Moss:Milky with moss inside. Also tree agates and fern agates. These are healers, stimulating wound closure. Acts as a cleanser, stimulator and strengthener. Its liquid appearance and smooth surface are great soothers for children's minor "accidents."

  Plume:Milky with firey red grasses inside. Good for visualization practice and reaching desired goals.

  When combined with other stones, Agates make for excellent magickal results. They act much like the binding runes as they provide an active link for the harmonious blending of several properties.

• Alexandrite: A variety of chrysoberyl. Aids internal and external regeneration. Has positive influence on nervous system, spleen, pancreas. Helps to align mental and emotional body. Spiritual transformation andregeneration. Reflects hightest potentials of unfoldment. Joy, oneness with life. Chakra(s): crown.
• Amazonite: A variety of feldspar. Soothes nervous system. Strengthens heart and physical body. Aids alignment of mental and etheric body. Brings joy and upliftment. Creative expression. Facilitates clearer vision of one's own harmful tendencies, making them easier to release. Chakra(s): throat.
• Amber: Fossilized resin from prehistoric pine trees. Excellent all-purpose stone. Exerts positive influence on endocrine system, spleen, heart. heeling, soothing, harmonizing. Excellent protector of children. Also a spell strengthener. Electrically alive with solidified golden light. Stabalizes kundalini awakening. Activates altruistic nature. Spiritualizes the intellect. • Amethyst: A variety of quartz. Strengthens endocrine andimmune systems. Used to transform negativity and strengthen the third eye vision. The G's

• Garnet (red): Strengthens, purifies, vitalizes and regenerates bodily systems, especially the bloodstrem. Has strong affinity with root chakra, helping to harmonize the potent forces of the kundalini. Stimulates pituitary gland. Aligns subtle bodies. Love, compassion. Enhances imagination. • Gold: Purifies and energizes physical body. Improves circulation, strengthens nervous system. Balances and develops heart chakra. Balances hemispheres of brain. Aids tissue regeneration. Attracts positive energy into aura. Amplifies thought forms. Aids personal illumination. Solar energy, male aspect. Chakra(s): navel, heart and crown.

The H's

• Hemetite: Blood cleanser and purifer. A good grounding stone. Also aids in the formation of shields. Increases self esteem. Helps focus energy patterns and emotions for better balance between the mental, physical, and spiritual. Augments meridian flows. Aids in astral projection. Hemetite has a negative physical affect when worn too long. It can be worn with many stones as an amulet.
• Herkimer Diamond: Draws toxicity from physical forms and increases healing ability. Helps to enhance the dream state. Also aids in alleviating stress. Helps develop the ability to "give".

The I's

• Iron: Projective stone. A good stone to use in defensive magick. Lends protection to the wearer. Aids in healing and grounding. Very strong, providing strength for magickal acts. Helps in the return of stolen goods.

The J's

• Jade: Calms the wearer and centres the mind. Wearing jade is good for attempting to attune to the needs of others. Aids in problem-solving by helping to focus on the problem. It is a good stone for mediation, expecially when meditating to solve a problem. Jade amulets are worn for safe travel.
• Jasper: Jasper in general is used to protect against both physical and nonphysical hazards. It is also used to prevent or relieve pain, each colour specific for a type of pain.

  Green: Green Jasper is useful for relieving stomach and intestinal problems such as constipation and ulcers. It is also a clairvoyance aid, and helps to balance a healer's auric field.

  Picture: Picture Jasper helps with skin problems, as well as problems in the kidneys and thymus. It strengthens the immune system. It also is useful in past life recall.

  Red: Red Jasper is useful for relieving problems of the liver, stomach troubles and infections. It helps prevent or aleviate a fever, as well as the affects of poison.

  Yellow: Yellow Jasper is used to combat problems of the thymus and pancreas. It helps rejuvinate endocrine system tissue. It is also useful for etheric body allignment.

• Jet: Useful in detering the pain of feminine disorders. Relieves tooth aches, stomach pain, gladular swelling and fevers. It is said that jet helps prevent hair loss. Aids in keeping the lower spine alligned. Jet provides protection in traveling. It also helps fend off negativity and nightmares.

The K's

• Kunzite: Kunzite is said to be helpful in cases of schizophrenia, manic-depression, and phobias. It helps relieve the pain of arthritis and headaches. Useful in fending off alcoholism, anorexia and gout. Aids in gaining a sense of emotional equilibrium.

The L's

• Lapis: Used on third eye for meditation. Eliminates old and negative emotions. An energy focuser for teachers, lecturers, and speakers. A mental and spiritual cleanser. It penetrates subconscious blockages. Relieves melancholy a well as fevers and inflimmations. Helps in creating mantras. Useful in thought form amplification. Very powerful if used with other healing stones. Chakara(s): Throat
• Lazulite: Frontal lobe stimulation. Aids in relieving hypertension and liver diseases. Helps strengthen the immune system.
• Lead: Very receptive metal. Useful in divination, protection and defensive magick.
• Lodestone: Aids in healing and protection. Strengthens the will. A good luck stone, increases your odds in games of chance. Powerful in the realms of friendship and love. Ensures fidelity.
