Gezer

Gezer was a royal city of ancient Canaan. It is frequently mentioned in the Old Testament as well as in New Kingdom records dating from Tuthmose III to Merneptah. It was inhabited from Neolithic times up to the time of the Maccabees. A wall and gateway date from the time of Solomon and resemble Solomonic fortifications at Megiddo and Hazor.
