Ribaddi of Byblos

As a vassal of the Egyptian empire, he requested and received troops from the young Amenhotep III in order to defend him against his rival Abdi-Ashirta of Amurru. He is responsible for 70 of the Amarna Letters that have survived. However, some of these are duplicates, sent with different envoys in order to make sure they got through. He died or otherwise disappeared towards the end of the reign of Akhenaten.
