Hello and bright blessings! I have created this web page to share with folks my thoughts and feelings on a variety of subjects, and to (hopefully) meet new friends with similar interests via the email below. My intent is to create a dialogue with others, so if you like (or, ahem, dislike) anything you find here, please feel free to email me. I'd love to hear from you!
I am a grad student for only a little while longer, having completed my Masters' in English Literature, and am just waiting around to graduate! I am also a professional writer, poet, and musician, and a solitary Wiccan.
Why Wolf and Lion?
This page is the "Lair of the Wolf and Lion" because the two of them are my spirit animals. What do I mean by spirit animals? Even I am not certain, although I know I have discovered a strong connection between these two beasts and myself. To a certain extent, I feel that every person has at least one corresponding spirit animal (which may or may not be an actual animal, f/inst. a dragon) whose aspects help shape our understanding of our place in the world. For example, the Lion tends to inform my sense of protectiveness over my family, and confidence in my abilities as protector, defender, and provider. The Wolf describes a duality of my existence, a capability of being at times an integrated, social being, and, at other times, a seperate individual, a "lone wolf." Also, the Wolf has the aspect of Watcher, observing humanity from the edge, not interfering, but watching and keeping alert. I feel the Wolf in this aspect most when I turn my attention to the government, which, I strongly feel, needs to be watched...
Career
I am currently working as a freelance writer, planning in the near future to begin a job search focusing on obtaining a position as a teacher of English at the collegiate level. Anyone with leads is invited to email me at the link below.
Note: Arache's Web is now closed. I am very sorry to see it go, as I found it to be a very useful resource for finding all things Pagan/Wiccan on the Net. She has, however, her own reasons for closing the site, and I wish her well in her future endeavors. I've removed the link to what were the beginning stages of my online novel, "Pawprints in the Sand." Over the course of the last year, I repeatedly asked myself why I never managed to find time to work on the thing, and repeatedly the answer was that just I'm not as interested in writing fiction in the fantasy genre as I once was. Which is not to say that I'll never finish it, but it's being put "on the shelf" for the time being. Thank you sincerely to all of you who took the time to read its beginnings.
I do, however, have plans to begin work on a new novel in the near future. This one will be a realistic work about the experiences of a group of modern Pagans. It's in the planning stages right now, and I will be posting excerpts as I write them. Please enjoy Literary Explorations chronicling with my sojourn into the world of literary criticism, novels, drama, and poetry. Literature is for the PEOPLE, not just for white-wigs and academics!This project is my first attempt at outreaching to the world community in order to effect positive social change. Please read it carefully. If you are not an American, you can still help with "phase one" in your community. It costs nothing, takes little time, and the rewards are infinite.

I've kept my mouth shut for too long!
