groovycompo is this neat lil' competition, wherein the guy who runs it makes available a set of samples which the entrants use to make a song, and send back to him. the next week, everyone who submitted a tune gets to vote for who they think did the best work. these guys are good, i'm hoping that i'll eventually be able to match them. from this page, you'll be able to download my entries and see how i did.

to play the files, you'll need a player capable of playing Impulse Tracker (.IT) files. i suggest Impulse Tracker or MikIT, both of which you can grab at maz's.
