Leo
Leo, climbing through the blinds - 3-19-98
Leo was our fourth ferret. He was a little, scared baby when we got him. As soon as the other ferrets met him, they proved their dominancy over him by dragging him around by the skin on his neck. Since that time, Leo has grown to be the largest, strongest, and dumbest ferret. He has proven his dominancy over a couple of the other ferrets. Clark and Leo have had a few dominancy wars (Which are great fun to watch -- no, these "wars" do not hurt the ferrets, they're tough little guys). We are pretty sure that Leo is mentally retarded... which only makes him funny as a pet. He likes to attack closed doors, and plastic bags... sometimes he even wins against the plastic bags. He kind of reminds us of a little fat three year old. Despite his lack of intelligence, Leo has proven to be a quick learner. He comes when he is called, he can stand up on his hind legs, and he can roll over.
Leo is happy even when he should probably be sad, we think this is mainly because he doesn't understand most of what goes on around him. Whenever we are walking around the house, Leo will follow our feet, and lie down next to them when we stop moving, that is most certainly the cutest thing that Leo does.
