Safety Tips
Chrissy's Dojo wishes you a Safe and Fun Halloween!
You are nimber to visit!
Never go trick or treating alone. It is a good idea to go with a parent, and even better to go in a group, with several parents.
Bring a flash light, even if your street is well lit. This will help cars to know you're there, and avoid hitting you. (Of course, avoid walking in the street when possible, and walk facing on-coming traffic - This way you will know when cars are coming, and can get out of the way.)
Bring an umbrella and a warm coat. Just because it's a holiday doesn't mean the weather will be nice. (Always rained where I grew up... never failed!)
Never enter a stranger's house. If they invite you in, tell them you would rather stay outside on the porch.
If someone you don't know gives you unwrapped candy or fruit, don't eat it. You would be amazed at the things some people would put into the treats they hand out to children.
If you're staying home to hand out treats, don't invite anyone you don't know to come into your home.
If you don't have any candy to hand out, turn your porch and interior lights off. This will decrease the number of children you'll have to disappoint. (Of course you could always make a last minute trip to the grocery store) ;)
Have Fun!!! (And don't eat too much candy all at once)
