If I could...
           I would...
 never...
           ever...
 allow the happenings of that night
 to occur without a fight.
 This may sound bold
 of a story untold,
 but how could I say
 to you that day
 the thoughts circling my mind
 the ones of you... so kind?
 Instead I felt so much
 I couldn't tell you such
 I was afraid of what you would feel
 after interpreting the cards that I did deal,
 So instead now I sit here in pain
 Thinking about the things I lost, instead of the things I did gain.
