The Queen's Own Sappers & Miners Memorial , MEG, Bangalore

Part of an extended New Wall Surrounding the Monument, but not touching it, with the listing of all the Officers/NOC's of the Madras Sappers who died in the Great Wars, including the 1971 War.

Special Permission to Photograph Monument, courtesy Col.S.K. Vohra, in-charge of the MEG Archives and Museum. This Monument was earlier opposite the Ulsoor Lake and was always getting dirty due to the dust and sooth from the trucks that passed by. Since the Monument is very large, the same was shifted within the premises of the MEG, and they maintain and upkeep the Monument which faces the Parade Ground on one side and the MEG Head Qtrs (Monkey House : above pic: )on the others. The Monument is not accessable to outsiders except with special permission from the Commandant of MEG.
