These are some tools you may want to have in your working as a practicing
witch. I however feel the need to inform you that you do not need such tools.
Yes they are very nice to have and very helpful especially when
you are first starting out. But they are only tangible thing to help you
have a focus for YOUR energy. The thing itself does not
have the power, YOU do and YOU give the power to that object. (It's
kinda like Dumbo and his feather. He didn't think he could fly without it,
but He learned that it had nothing to do with the feather after all, it
was him all along.) Well it is you all along as well. Everything you would
ever need to practice your faith is in your body. Oh and if you do feel
the need to have these objects let me tell you what you don't have to go
out to the nearest porcelain shop and buy the most expensive thing they
have. Improvise Trust me the gods understand and they get a kick out
of you thinking up how to it another way. This makes it yours and yours
alone. The best places I have found for ritual object is "The Dollar
Store" or "TOY R US" you'd be amazed at what you can do with a letter
opener or kitchen knife,a feather you found and a couple of flowers you
picked. (when you take from nature always give back to it ie.a postive
engery a dime something like that.) O.K. I guess my rambling has went
on long enough so here it goes......
Athame: A ritual knife a double edged black and mostly a black handle. Never used for actual cutting. This blade is for cutting of energies. (ie. a circle and the door in the circle.)

Amulet: Most often a protective object use to reflect negative

energies. Besom: Broom used to sweep away negative energy in the area where the circle is to be ect...

Bolline: Normally white handled knife, used for cutting actual things such as herbs candle rituals ect. (remember they don't HAVE to be exact, I use a knife I got for the bahama's and use to use a kitchen knife. These white handles are VERY hard to find)

Book-O-Shadows: The book or folder you keep all of your rituals dreams meanings and everything else you can think of in for religious purposes. Only to be seen my you and anyone working with you. (This you do need to keep track of, you'll find it very useful later on. I can't tell you how many spells I've lost cause I didn't write them down *Sigh)

Censer: Heat proof container incense burn (incense is a symbol of air)

Cauldron: A bowl like object whose base it larger than it's rim(symbol of the goddess) used for cooking in the old days

Grimoire: Close to a BOS it is where you keep all your info such as your gods and herbs and incense stuff like that

Feather: used for distributing the smoke of incense or smoke from a smudge stick.

Labrys: Double headed axe Symbol of the goddess, put on left side of an altar.

Pendulum: A divinatory devise, an object (ring amulet crystal ect...) is put on the bottom of a string and a question is asked (I know of two ways to do this...) First if the pendulum swing in a circle the answer is yes if it moves back and forth then it is no. Second (really silly but it works)get a piece of paper and right yes on one side and no on the other. Ask the question what ever side it swings to more is the answer.

Pentacle:Not to be confused with a pentagram, this is an OBJECT which you place a pentagram on such as wood or stone, symbolizes earth.

Poppet: (it been around a lot longer than they have been calling it a voodoo doll,so don't worry I'm not getting you into anything here.)made out of cloth and herbs, represent the person that is to be aided or healed.

Positive Hand or Projective hand: This is the hand you write with and do other activities with. It your power point to sent out energy the other hand (Receptive Hand) is where you bring energy in at (I know it's not an object but it is a relevant definition

Runes:are oracles that you cast to divine the mostly likely answer to a question,(They are not divinatory though use these to get a general idea or help not to divine the future, Yes there is a difference!)

Sachets: (again yes it is also called a mojobag) can be filled with herbs to protect or bring energies to you, small square of herbs and charms that you either carry with you or place somewhere in your home.tied or sow this all together.

Talisman: A specifically charged object (generally a crystal of some kind) to bring a specific kind of energy to it's owner
