Ever notice how everything you do with a computer leads to a zillion MORE things to do with one?!?

Computer Resources:
- Everything You Need To Surf The Net -- For Free!
- HTML Lady's site is lovely and very helpful, with basic code info, free backgrounds and good links.
- Patti's Place is a -MUST SEE- location for really beautiful, useful and free backgrounds. She's the source for most of my backgrounds so far.
- Laura's Place is another -MUST SEE- site for beautiful, free backgrounds, plus lots of other stuff. I'll be using some of her work in my new pages!
- Bobbie's Home Page has an -incredible- number of links to graphics sites, some of which include free graphics and tutorials! I found the link to Laura's Place there, and got so involved with exploring it that I haven't made it back to check out all the others yet. Hopefully they are as great as Laura's is! Plan on spending some time with this site!
- Pauli's World has tutorials on how to make backgrounds using Paint Shop Pro, plus lots of other interesting info/links.
- The Free Web is a great place for free backgrounds, bars, buttons, and animations.
- "The Home Page" Home Page calls itself a "quick-start reference".
- The Bare Bones Guide to HTML by Kevin Warbach. More than just computer stuff can be found on his personal homepage, by the way. It's an interesting site.
- If you're a member of Geocities (it's free, BTW), and are trying to figure out color notations for web pages, they have a color cube that's really helpful. There is other helpful info on their resources page.
- Xara 3D has a "slimware" program that's very reasonably priced (if you use their secure online payment option) that lets you make fantastic 3D text and animation! And it's really easy to use! I made my golden Roost image for my index page with it and had never used a graphics program before!
- The Gif Construction Set is highly recommended by many sites I've surfed. It seems to be easy to use and produces great animations! They have other good products as well and it's all very inexpensive shareware!
- The Jasc Site has a download option for Paint Shop Pro. PSP is a bit more expensive than the shareware or slimware just listed, but is highly recommended by many sites and has very good help files for figuring out how to use a paint program, if you haven't used them before. There are also various sites on the Web, like the Pauli's World link above, that help out with tutorials for it.
- 3DSite
- The Design Center
Computer-Related:
- My son's page.
He and his friend CJ (see following link) are beginning to do game programming and are working on creating a 3D graphics engine for a space and sci-fi oriented combat game. I'm starting to work with my son on developing a fantasy-adventure game that would use a truly "interactive world" graphics engine that we hope to create.
