I'm from the USA but I speak Spanish with my husband who's originally from Peru. I can e-mail or chat in reasonably good Spanish, or in simple German. I am teaching myself a bit of Swahili with help from a neighbor from Kenya and a book called Swahili: a Complete Course for Beginners by D.V. Perrott from NTC Publishing Group, 1992. I am also learning a bit of Russian with my son. But we only know a couple phrases so far--we're still trying to get used to the Russian alphabet!
