		"fading"

i see the dark inside the shadows
i taste the rain outside in the night
i am alone within my ocean
despite the light that travels so far
you cannot hold onto freedom
you cannot chase the butterfly
but somehow, within my heart
i try.
i wait for happiness to find me
i stare hard at the stars at night
i pick the flowers in the fields
and watch the seeds float on by..
i cannot hold onto freedom
flame only burns those things that fly
i cannot wait for happiness, being lonely..
