		"softly"

all about her the shadows shine
so glad to see one of their kind
all around her the sunlight goes
smooth with currents like water flows
she makes angels seem like lesser creatures
with all her heart so full of love
love and trust reside around her
seem to sparkle through her eyes
i know her soul has seen such sorrow
she never understands the reasons why
but we are all such lesser creatures
while under her darkened skies
and everything about her i love
but i can't look her in the eye
because there's something about her
that i can never touch, only brush
all about her the snow collects
leaves still falling the ice reflects
all around her comes the mist of night
follows her down with the loss of the light
