Machilipatnam

Machilipatnam is also known as Bandaru (in Hindi it means Monkey!) and Brindaavanapuram,
Masulipatnam and Matsyapuri. Machiliptnam or Matsyapuri means fish city!

Machilipatnam is famous for its Bandar Laddu, Goldcovering Industry and Kalamkaari
parisrama. Pedana one of the outer parts of the town is famous for Kalankaari (colouring the clouths).

Machilipatnam has lot of temples. Some of the famous one's are :

Panduranga Temple
Suvarchalaa Sahita Anjanaeya Swamivari Temple :
This temple was constructed by Samartha Raamadaas (Taecher of Chatrapathi Sivaji).

Siva Ganga : Here we have a temple of lord Siva and Devi. One of the ancient temples in Machilipatnam.

Almost every year, one or two storms hit Machilipatnam adversly effecting the development of Machilipatnam. Machilipatnam is the head quarters of Krishna District,Andhra Pradesh. The climate is humid and sultry.

Bandaru Kota : Fort. Here we can see the port.
Manginapudi Beach
Koneru Centre : In evening, you can see lot of people coming here and eating at famous masaalaa bandi (four wheeler).
