Michail Yurevich Lermontov
(1814-1841) |
|
Famous Russiam Poet of XIX century.Whether chose to write
poetry, prose, or drama, the stamp of genius was always to be found on
it. His poems are the profession of faith of an independent and free man.
As a poet and a thinker Lermontov exerted an immense on all the literature
that followed. |
Vladimir Mayakovsky (1893-1930) |
|
One of my favourites. Absolutly original and absolutly
genius. Some people don't like him, they say he was devoted to comunists
too much. They'll never know what they loosing. Mayakovsky's writings influenced
the whole development of the Soviet poetry. |
Anna Akhmatova (1889-1966) |
|
Akhmatova's style is felicitous combination of the classical
tradition and the latest experiments of Soviet Poetry. The classical severity
of her poems, their clarity, her lapidary style and her rare sense of harmony
make Akhmatova on of the most outstanding poets of the XX century. |
Boris Pasternak (1890-1960) |
|
Won the Nobel's award in 1958 for his " Doctor Zhivago
". Was blamed for that as the enemy of the Soviets. One of my favourites,
perfect. |
Marina Tsvetaeva (1892-1941) |
|
One of the most important poets of the 20th century.
Her poetry is unique in its cadences and rhytms Resonant and powerful,
magnificently orchestrated, Tsvetaeva poems are impassioned monologues,
their whole structure and tempi matched to gesture and mood. |
