Many moons ago, I read a book which made me chuckle,due to the profound truths contained therein. That book was "Principia Discordia *or* How I Found Goddess And What I Did To Her When I Found Her". Suddenly I realized that Eris was with me always! Some time after I read that, I also found & read the "Illuminatus Trilogy!", by Robert Shea and Robert Anton Wilson. This was even better. Long and unwieldly but with some short bursts of strange and hot sex, (sort of like my life).
Perhaps many of you have read these as well. But did you know that there is a game out there where you can take the part of Discordians (or Bavarian Illuminati, or several other groups)trying to take over the world?
This game is "Illuminati:New World Order" or INWO for short, and it is produced by Steve Jackson games.
In its current incarnation as a collectible trading card game,
it has quite a rabid following.
There are no sacred cows (or llamas) here!
There are hundreds of cards available(including blanks so you can design your own!)
Choose from the following "alignments":conservative vs. liberal;
straight vs weird;corporate vs. government;
violent vs peaceful; fanatic (which opposes fanatic); or criminal(which has no opposing alignment).
Spend hours of obsessed, maniacal delight building a deck which you think can crush your opponents!
