Carrituck
Locate at the far north end of the Outer Banks, Carrituck is truely the opposite of Ocracoke... the lighthouse was packed with an hour long line to climb to the top... the surrounding area is HEAVILY commercial... many developments with million dollar summer homes line both sides of the highway. The giftshop was small, cramped, but the most diverse of all lights... There is a nature walk and park next to the light, but there were so many people it was difficult to enjoy...
