This is one of only 772 inscribed bricks surrounding the newly opened MCI Sports Arena in Washington DC. The Assumption 4-4 HS Class of 1977 brick is to the right of the entrance door of the Arena.

When the Arena needed sponsors to complete the construction, Jojo & Vicky Viray-Mendoza each took the opportunity to bid for a brick, and dedicated it to their respective high school class. They waited impatiently for confirmation and did not stop until they got it. Come by Washington DC and check out your brick--and if your husband or friend happens to be a 4-eye 1976 Atenean, he's got a brick too!
