Personal Information: Current residence: Buffalo, NY. Born in Olean, NY in 1970 and grew up in Cuba, NY. Companions: My husband (Merle) and our three cats (Otto, Koda, & Zeb). Education: I received my PhD in sociology from the University at Buffalo in 2002. I attended Fredonia State University as an undergraduate and, before that, I graduated from Cuba Central School in 1988. Hobbies: kayaking, hiking, reading, going to estate sales, refinishing old furniture & cooking Employment: I am currently looking for a tenure track position in a college or university. In the interim, I am employed as a project manager at the Center for Research on Children and Youth at the University at Buffalo. I am also a part-time instructor at U.B. & Canisius College where I teach a variety of courses, including Introductory Sociology, Sociology of Families, Sociology of Gender, and Contemporary Sociological Theory.
