Arthurian Artwork
Over the centuries, the magical allure of the Arthurian Legend has inspired countless artists to try to recapture that magic on canvas, to visually express the pomp, pagentry, and mystery that surrounds these timeless stories and characters.

Below, I have gathered some beautiful and interesting examples of Arthurian inspired artwork. Right now, I don't know how to make thumbnails, so I have made a separate link for each picture, to save downloading time. I do not own copyrights to any of these pictures, so feel free to use them- just don't use up my bandwidth by making a link back here. If you own the copyright, please let me know.

Eventually, I hope to be able to scan my own pictures, but for now I have to glean them all from other Internet sources. Most of the pictures I have at present were taken from the Webmagick Pre-Raphaelite Connection. They have plenty of other Pre-Raphaelite works available, as well as information on the artists and poets of this short-lived 19th Century artistic movement. Check them out!

The copy of Rosetti's Sang Real (I assume either he or the page editor couldn't spell) came from www.esotericart.com/fringe/art/symbolic/decadent/decad.htm

Finally, Aubrey Beardsley's art came from Webmagick's Beardsley pages
