Hearthfire Magic
Author: Unknown

In the stunning silence
Of a winter's night,
When the pine cones shiver
At the snow's frost bite,

When the frosted faeries
Around chimneys gather,
To warm themselves
With family fire and laughter,

When the streets are paved
With silent snow,
Paying homage
To the streetlights' glow,

I can see the moon
In her velvety perch,
Gracing celebration
With seasonal mirth.

Heaven's decor
Of a silvery hue;
Constellations transformed
At the holiday cue.

So Orion seems jolly
In the seasoned dreamer's fog,
While the Big Dipper dips
Into celestial nog.

And these sights hold their magic;
Remains through the year:
A silvery reward
For every heartbreak and tear.

We share this great time
Around hearths and dear friends,
Toasting and giving,
Always laughing again.

Freedom of spirit
Through laughter and song
Ease, comfort, happiness
Echoes loudly and long.

And so, lift your glass;
Let me toast you your health!
Let me toast all the things
That might lend you true wealth:

Gaiety, levity,
Faith in all men,
Wonder, serenity,
Love for to mend,

And warmth--the great one--
Warmth to melt the snow
Warmth for this Christmastime
May warmth ever grow

So the magic of winter
Silver as the moon,
Will shine harmoniously
With your golden warmth's boon.

Hearthfire hear me,
And burn for us all!
Keep the great balance
And we won't let you fall!
