Decker's Docker's
Decker's Docker's are the students in Mrs. Decker's second grade class at Flamingo Elementary School of Davie, Florida

Every year they sail into new adventures.

Charting their course, reviewing the rules of the class as they prepare themselves to learn intriging lessons, through multi-modalities and an intergrated curriculum.  Cooperative learning as well as teacher instruction and facilitation enhance their learning.  County adopted text, S.I.T. Goals, and the Florida Sunshine State Standards as well as integrating technology comprise the curriculum.

Children enjoy having their own book of short stories about their years experiences.  Children will be writing stories throughout the year in class about many of the activities and field trips that they are experiencing.  Photos of the experiences will also be attached.
Editing of the stories will be done at home and in school, if parents could assist it would be appreciated.  If you have access to a computer please have your child try to type their final copies at home.  The final anthology of their stories will be due May 15th .
They will then be submitted to our school publishing center for binding.

If you can donate contact paper for book covers please send it in with your child.
