"Old Love, Young Love" written May 31, 1998
When I was young, I liked games.
The long ones that you worked at hard.
I like the knights and adventure.
I didn't like working in the yard.
As I grew older, I never grew out.
The long and tedious things were fun.
Then I discovered women and it never changed.
Except with the ladies, your work is never done.
As young love sparkled and died,
I worked harder to keep what was dear.
Finally, I found the one for me forever,
And I ever want to keep her near.
I think back to all those I have loved.
I think how I thought the same for all.
How as I got older, only the time changed.
My love has been the same, big or small.
In the end we die, together or apart,
But our love survives in memory.
Be my last love, forever in time.
That we may be together for eternity.
