"Shift One Over" written May 28, 1998
I always see the world from the common perspective.
What would it bee like to have a different view?
To shift one over the senses that we possess.
What would it be like for those things to have?
To hear a bird above you light on a branch.
To hear a person, in front of your eyes, break a twig.
Wonderment at the sound a woman staring at the sky.
Amazement at the voice of a group peering at the heavens.
If you could See a feather falling on your skin.
You could view the roughness of the lizads back.
Just to see how the rain feels rolling off your neck.
Ohh, to see the vibrations of a cat purring on your collar.
To feel how the wind sounds as it blows through the trees.
The touch of the streams rolling over the stones.
The rough texture of a bark of a dog.
Smooth feel of a car starting clean.
To hear as you see,
To see as you touch,
To touch as you hear,
This is what I dream.
To shift one over though my example if poor
To experience different, who could ask for more.
